Mirella Veras, PT. PhD

Mirella Veras is a registered physiotherapist with a postdoctoral in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Montreal. With over 20 years of experience as a physiotherapist, Mirella has experience working in a hospital and clinical setting, consulting, as a professor and coordinator of health services.

​

Mirella has advanced level certification in pelvic health physiotherapy, including pelvic pain and ano-rectal disorders. Pelvic floor physiotherapy can help with pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, fecal incontinence, constipation, post void dribbling and pre and post-natal issues. She has also taken continuing education in concussion, acupuncture, dry needling and manual therapy.

 

Mirella is also exercise specialist in Pregnancy and Postpartum.

When not in the office, Mirella loves spending time with her family, going for long walks and practicing Tai Chi and Pilates.

 

She is also Tai Chi, Pilates and Medical Therapeutic Yoga instructor and has developed an unique  Clinical Tai Chi method called System of Balance. She is the author of the book: Evidence-Based Tai Chi for Rehabilitation and Wellness: A System of Balance for Clinical Practice.
